Seamless sportswear

Seamless sportswear: the construction idea behind the range

Seamless sportswear is the core construction idea for much of this site: sportswear knitted with fewer sewn seams, for training use. It is a smaller search idea than seamless activewear, but it is the idea that explains why seamless leggings, seamless gym wear and seamless sets belong together on one site.

The official site lists Activewear Fitness & Yoga as one of its categories, including custom sportswear for men and women and seamless styles for men and women.

This page is the construction-idea page. Buyers who already know the garment should go to the garment page. Buyers who are still deciding whether seamless construction suits their range should start here, and then choose a garment page for the brief.

When seamless sportswear suits a range

Seamless sportswear suits ranges where fit in motion and a smooth feel matter across several garments, such as a yoga and gym range sold together. It suits a range less well when the buyer needs heavy panelled fashion details or structured outer layers, which are better handled as cut-and-sew garments. Stating that choice in the brief prevents a seamless sample from being judged against a cut-and-sew expectation.

Seamless sportswear also needs a scene note. Seamless for yoga, seamless for gym training and seamless for general training are not identical briefs, even when the construction word is the same. Add the scene to every seamless sportswear line, so sampling is tested for the right use.

From construction idea to garment brief

Use this page to decide construction, then use the seamless activewear page for sets, the seamless leggings pages for leggings, and the seamless gym wear page for gym ranges. That path — construction, then scene, then garment — is the shortest route to a sample that can actually be judged.

Do not write a seamless sportswear brief that lists only the construction word. A construction word without a garment, scene, colour and size list is not a brief, and it will be answered with questions rather than a sample.
